North Hills, Los Angeles, CA: A traffic collision involved a fire hydrant and a fence in the North Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley on Thursday night.
Los Angeles Police officers and the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported traffic collision around 9:13 p.m. June 23, involving a hydrant on the 15200 block of Nordhoff Street.
Firefighters located a gushing hydrant shooting water across the street which shattered a window of a parked vehicle. A red vehicle with major front end damage was seen near the sheared hydrant. Not far from the gushing hydrant was a vehicle that had slammed into an apartment building gate causing approximately 50 feet of fence damage.
One person was transported in unknown condition to a local hospital.
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.
