Flames Spread to Multiple Vehicles in North Hollywood Fire

North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA: An unknown type fire was reported behind the 13400 block of Saticoy Street at approximately 5:20 p.m. Monday, July 4, in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived at the location and found a large rubbish fire which had extended into multiple vehicles at the location. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it appeared to be centralized between the railroad tracks and the wall behind the storage facility business of “Extra Space Storage.”

Three vehicles in the parking lot were involved in flames, and two box trailers closer to the tracks were damaged as well.

Firefighters achieved knockdown in approximately 15 minutes.
