Boat Struck by Lightning in Puget Sound

Federal Way, WA: On Wednesday morning, Aug. 10, around 9:30 a.m., a distress call was received from a boat off the Dash Point area in the Puget Sound stating they had been struck by lightning and had lost all mechanical ability.

South King Fire crews responded and a fire boat was used to help tow the boat into a local marina. Amazingly, no injuries were reported.
