Firefighters Move Heaps of Boxes in Recycling Facility to Extinguish Flames

Burbank, Los Angeles County, CA: A fire at a recycling center in the city Burbank prompted a response from the fire department at approximately 12:42 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3.

When Burbank Fire Department crews arrived on the 500 block of South Flower Street, they found a small fire behind heaps of boxes.

Firefighters used heavy equipment to sort through the boxes and get to the source of the fire. The facility had built-in water sprinklers to keep the fire from spreading.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
