West Carson, Los Angeles County, CA: Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division officers were in pursuit Monday night of a possible stolen vehicle when the suspect drove off the 110 Freeway northbound and fired shots at officers.

The pursuit started at approximately 10:07 p.m. Sept. 19, and terminated when the suspect, a bald male Hispanic, crashed their vehicle off the Harbor Freeway in the West Carson community of Los Angeles County.
Officers pursued the suspect on foot when he entered a tunnel under the freeway at which point officers heard gunshots.
After hearing gunshots, officers reported officer needs help and requested units to respond to their location. The suspect was taken into custody in a field just northeast of the intersection at Vermont Avenue and Lomita Boulevard.
No officers were injured, and the suspect was booked at Harbor Division station. The firearm is still outstanding.
