Police Investigate Death of Person Found in Wooded Area

Federal Way, WA: A death investigation is underway by Federal Way Police Department after a body was discovered in a wooded area in the city of Federal Way on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022.

A 911 caller reported finding a body around 12:04 p.m. in a wooded area behind bushes and bramble at 16th Avenue South and South 303rd Street.

Federal Way Police Department and Puget Sound Fire crews responded to the location and determined the person was deceased.

Federal Way PD investigators have taken over the scene and will be continuing the investigation.
