RC Plane Crashes into House, Sets Roof on Fire

Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, CA: A radio-controlled plane crashed into a home on the 27600 block of Sawtooth Lane, Sunday morning, Oct. 9, in the Canyon Country neighborhood of the city of Santa Clarita.

Los Angeles County firefighters from stations 132 and 123 responded to the scene and found a small fire on the roof of a home.

Upon further inspection, crews discovered a small plane had crashed into the roof and caught fire before exposing the rooftop of a two-story home.

Firefighters battled the blaze and knocked it down within minutes.
