North Hills, Los Angeles, CA: A Los Angeles Police Department patrol vehicle was immobilized after running into downed live power lines after a traffic collision sheared a hydrant Sunday night, Oct. 9, in the North Hills neighborhood of the San Fernando Valley.

LAPD and the Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving downed power lines and a sheared hydrant around 11:30 p.m. on the 16400 block of Nordhoff Street.
One person was transported to the hospital by LAFD paramedics in unknown condition.
An LAPD patrol vehicle was spotted running into live power lines that were hanging from the pole. Firefighters were seen warning the officers not to exit or move their vehicle.
LAFD worked to turn off the hydrant and the Department of Water and Power responded to the location to untangle the wires from the police vehicle.
No officers were injured.
