Driver Flees Scene of Pickup Truck Crash Through Front Yard of Home

Hacienda Heights, Los Angeles County, CA: A driver fled the scene of a collision leaving a pickup truck behind which had crashed through a front yard of a residence in the Hacienda Heights community early Sunday morning, Oct. 23.

California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs Station, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Industry Station and Los Angeles County Fire Department received a 911 call around 1:40 a.m. from a residence in the 15400 block of East Newton Street reporting a vehicle had crashed through their front yard, taking out the mailbox.

Once CHP and firefighters arrived on scene, they located a black pickup truck that left a path of destruction through the front yard of a residence. The vehicle came to rest into a cinder block retaining wall. The driver of the pick up truck had fled the scene.

There was no structure damage to the house.

CHP will be handling the investigation into the hit-and-run crash.
