Pico Rivera, Los Angeles County, CA: A motorcyclist lost their life in a traffic collision on the 605 Freeway late Sunday evening, Oct. 30.

California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Fire Department received a call around 8:10 p.m. for a traffic collision on the northbound 605 Freeway at Beverly Boulevard in the city of Pico Rivera.

CHP arrived on scene and reported a crash involving a motorcycle into the back of a Jeep truck.

Responding LACoFD personnel pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.

The person in the Jeep was not transported to a hospital.

The motorcycle was part of a group of motorcycles traveling on the freeway and it is unknown at this time how the crash occurred.

CHP Santa Fe Springs is investigating the incident.

CHP had the HOV, #1, #2, and #3 lanes closed for an unknown period of time.
