The multi-vehicle incident was reported early Wednesday morning, Mar. 15, around 3:45 a.m.
Traffic was snarled for miles as flashing hazard lights on the disabled vehicles were seen on the rain-soaked freeway during another storm that drenched the Southland heavily overnight.
California Highway Patrol was on scene and had shut down the northbound 71 Freeway at West Holt Avenue in the city of Pomona.
A SigAlert was issued for an unknown amount of time.
