Firefighters, Deputies Evacuate Residents From Burning 2-Story Home

Walnut, Los Angeles County, CA: A house fire in the city of Walnut early Saturday morning prompted evacuation of residents.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to a house fire just before 3:00 a.m., Apr. 8, on the 800 block of Gartel Drive near Fuerte Drive.

Firefighters and deputies immediately evacuated residents from the two-story home.

It is unknown at this time how the fire started and if there were injuries to any of the residents or firefighters.

Firefighters achieved knockdown of the flames within 45 minutes.
