Small Aircraft Crash-Lands Through Fence into Field

Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: A small plane crash-landed through a fence and into a field on Monday afternoon near General William J. Fox Airfield in the City of Lancaster.

At approximately 1:00 p.m., Mar. 14, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire received 911 calls regarding a plane crash on Avenue G and 60th Street West near the Fox Airfield.

Upon arriving to the scene, Sheriff’s deputies discovered a plane that had crashed through a fence into a field. The plane was reported to be a single-engine Cessna 210.

Firefighters from Station 130 along with Fox Airfield Crash Response Team responded to the crash and evaluated two passengers that were aboard the plane, but were not transported to a hospital.

Sheriff’s deputies remained on the scene to investigate. It is not known what caused the crash at this time.
