Long Beach, Los Angeles County, CA: A commercial warehouse sustained major damage after flames engulfed much of the building early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters with the Long Beach Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of West 15th Street in the city of Long Beach shortly before 1:00 a.m., May 2, regarding reports of a fire.
When first companies arrived on scene, they reported heavy smoke and fire on the roof of a business and immediately called for a second alarm response.
Firefighters fought the flames defensively with aerial ladders and from outside the building as the blaze consumed the entire roof.
Crews were successful in achieving knockdown on a major bulk of the flames by 1:30 a.m..
No injuries were initially reported and arson investigators were summoned to the scene. The building is reported to be a fiberglass business.
