Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in El Monte

El Monte, Los Angeles County, CA: A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late Thursday night in the city of El Monte.

The El Monte Police Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the 12100 block of Valley Boulevard just after 11:30 p.m., May 25.

Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they found a body in the middle of the street at the location. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the person deceased.

It is unknown at this time if the vehicle involved in the collision remained at the scene or fled.

El Monte PD had both west and eastbound lanes closed on Valley Boulevard.
