Apartment Fire Leaves 1 Dead After Attempted CPR

San Gabriel, Los Angeles County, CA: An apartment fire left one dead at the scene late Friday night after attempted life-saving measures by first responders.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department and Temple Sheriff’s deputies responded to an apartment fire around 11:40 p.m., Apr. 22, on the 7900 block of Nannestad Street in the city of San Gabriel.

It took approximately 35 minutes for firefighters to knock down the flames.

One patient was removed from the building. Firefighters and paramedics started CPR but the patient died at the scene.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
