Arson Suspected in Closely Related Fire Locations in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: The Bakersfield Fire Department Arson unit is investigating two fires within close proximity to each other, one day apart in the city of Bakersfield.

Around 1:14 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, there was a reported fire on the 2800 block of Terrace Way. The backyard of that location backs up to a property on Stephens Drive which had a fire earlier on July 4, 2022.

Firefighters extinguished the flames coming from the roof of the house on Terrace Way.

Bakersfield Fire Department Arson is investigating both fires.
