DIAMOND BAR, Calif., Mar. 4 (KNN) — One person was killed in a violent multi-vehicle, multi-injury traffic collision that caused a vehicle to split in half in Diamond Bar overnight.

Emergency responders from the Pomona Police Department, Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene of a multi-vehicle traffic collision at the intersection of West Mission Boulevard and West Temple Avenue.
The crash occurred at the border of Pomona and Diamond Bar around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Responders found a serious collision involving several vehicles, one of which was split in half. Multiple individuals were transported to a local hospital with injuries that are currently unknown. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has taken over the investigation into the fatal crash.
Details surrounding how the collision occurred remain unclear, and it has not yet been determined whether speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
