Clerk Restrains Theft Suspect Until Police Arrive

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: Clerks at a gas station in Bakersfield took down a suspect attempting to take items without paying.

A clerk restrained the suspect after the suspect started fighting with the clerks. *Jason M* / KNN

A male with long black hair wearing a white shirt entered the Valero gas station on Union and California Avenues on Thursday, Mar. 31, around 12:20 a.m., and attempted to steal items.

The suspect started fighting with clerks and was taken to the ground where he was restrained by a clerk until Bakersfield Police officers arrived.

The suspect was treated and transported by Hall ambulance to a local area hospital.
