Crash Involving 7 Vehicles Leaves Multiple People Injured, 2 Critical

San Bernardino, San Bernardino County, CA: Multiple people were injured in a traffic collision Sunday afternoon involving seven vehicles.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a reported overturned vehicle at 2:34 p.m., Apr. 30, at the intersection of Highland and Del Rosa Avenue in the city of San Bernardino.

Upon arriving on scene around 2:42 p.m., units upgraded the call to a traffic collision requiring extrication and requested additional units, including five additional ambulances.

The initial size-up of the incident reported seven patients, two of which were in critical condition.

Witnesses to the crash said the driver of the overturned vehicle was heading southbound on Del Rosa and ran a traffic light causing a mass chain reaction of a total of seven vehicles.

The extent of patient injuries is unknown at this time.
