NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 7 (KNN) — More than 400 people demonstrated on the campus of Cal State University Northridge as conservative commentator Charlie Kirk held a speaking engagement at the university on Thursday.

Groups from sides in support of Palestine amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East as well as those fervently rallying against Kirk joined forces near CSUN’s Matador Square and Student Union centers.
According to Charlie Kirk’s website, he is “the Founder and President of Turning Point USA, a national student movement dedicated to empowering young people to promote the principle of free market and limited government.”
Kirk was captured on a Key News Network video entering a black GMC SUV and leaving the campus, the same vehicle he had arrived in earlier. Kirk was on campus for approximately two hours and did not appear to be disrupted by the demonstrators.
The campus police handled the demonstration without needing the support of the Los Angeles Police Department. One demonstrator against Kirk was escorted out of the area.
There were no reported injuries.
