Deputies Investigate Attempted U-Haul Burglary in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Dec. 30 (KNN) — Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary in progress at a U-Haul location in Santa Clarita’s Canyon Country neighborhood.

Units arrived en masse to the 27100 block of Sierra Highway between Via Princessa and Flying Tiger Drive shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday night, following a 911 call reporting at least two people with drills breaking into a rental box truck.

Deputies detained both men at gunpoint and took them into custody shortly thereafter.

Units were still on scene as of 11:10 p.m. and continued their investigation into the incident.
