Driver Injured After Crashing into Tommy’s World Famous Burgers

Westlake, Los Angeles, CA: A car crashed into Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers injuring the driver and damaging multiple vehicles Friday evening. The car had landed on top of another vehicle and into the building as seen in Key News Network video from the scene.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the call of the crash with a reported person trapped around 5:54 p.m. Apr. 29, on Beverly Boulevard in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, LAFD extricated the trapped driver from the car, then transported the patient in unknown condition by LAFD firefighter/paramedics to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Due to major structural damage to the building from the impact of the collision, Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety inspectors responded to further evaluate.

Witnesses on scene stated the driver was driving erratically, causing multiple near-miss traffic collisions moments prior to colliding into the multiple cars and the structure.
