DWI Driver Involved in Rollover Crash into Creek

Newton County, MO: A DWI driver was involved in a rollover crash into a creek early Sunday morning, May 22, on Tiger Road, south of Beech Road in rural Newton County. Both occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were not transported from the scene by ambulance.

The male driver, identified by authorities as Tyler W. Campbell, 27, was transported to jail and at around 2:45 a.m., he was charged with felony DWI, driving while revoked, fail to drive on right half of roadway resulting in a traffic crash and misdemeanor Lawrence County warrant for DWI.

Newton County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Newton County Ambulance District and also Sarcoxie Rural Fire Department all responded to the scene of the collision.

Metro Towing recovered and towed the vehicle. Newton County Road and Bridge District came to help repair the damage to the bridge.
