Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Hit-and-Run Collision in South Los Angeles

Vermont-Slauson, Los Angeles, CA: A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision on Sunday night, May 22, around 9:08 p.m. in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the scene at Normandie Avenue and 59th Street where the victim was pronounced deceased.

According to LAPD Officer Drake Madison, the suspect vehicle was described as a burgundy Hyundai or Honda, last seen north on Normandie.

LAPD South Traffic Division is handling the investigation of this incident.
