Firefighters Battle Greater Alarm Commercial Structure Fire in DTLA

Los Angeles, CA: A commercial building in Downtown Los Angeles was burning as firefighters arrived on the 1100 block of South Main Street for the reported fire around 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, Apr. 26, 2022.

LAFD reported the address was the location of a previous burn in the 150′ x 60′ combination one (rear) and two (front) story building. Shortly after arriving, LAFD updated the incident to a Greater Alarm Structure Fire and dispatched additional appropriate resources for a total of more than 86 firefighters and 36 responding apparatus.

LAFD knocked down the majority of the fire in 72 minutes, but continued to work to extinguish various hotspots. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
