Firefighters Contain Hansen Dam Brush Fire

Hansen Dam, San Fernando Valley, CA: A brush fire was reported on Wednesday, June 22, around 9:31 p.m. in the Hansen Dam area on the 12100 block of West Osborne Street according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The department reported a half-acre of light to medium brush was on fire with no wind or structures threatened. The fire was fought with ground crews as well as air support.

Flames were contained at 10:11 p.m. It took 50 firefighters 40 minutes to extinguish several brush fires in the Hansen Dam area that totaled approximately one acre, said LAFD.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
