Sylmar, Los Angeles, CA: Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to reports of a brush fire around 1:50 p.m. Friday, June 10, near the intersection of Fenton Avenue and Kagel Canyon Street in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley.

A witness of the fire stated it may have started from fireworks. Los Angeles firefighters used ground and air resources to stop the fire that was burning alongside the 210 Freeway and homes.
The fire is currently at two acres and forward progression has been stopped. Firefighters are in mop up mode.
No injuries and no damage to structures were reported, according to LAFD.
