Firefighters Prevent Outdoor Blaze From Spreading to Structure in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Jan. 3 (KNN) — Firefighters battled a blaze that exposed a structure on Kimber Avenue in east Bakersfield late Tuesday night.

The Kern County Fire Department and Bakersfield Fire Department were dispatched shortly before midnight for a reported structure fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters located a large outdoor fire threatening a commercial structure. Firefighters quickly contained the flames which left the building scorched.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
