High-Speed Rollover Crash Takes Out Railroad Crossing Signal, 1 Hospitalized

Garden Grove, Orange County, CA: A person was rescued from a mangled sedan after crashing into a railroad crossing signal late Tuesday night.

The Orange County Fire Authority and Westminster Police Department responded to the intersection of Garden Grove Boulevard and Hoover Street in the city of Garden Grove regarding a solo vehicle crash around 11:22 p.m., Apr. 25.

Upon arrival, crews located a solo driver still inside the vehicle and utilized specialized tools to extricate the victim from the vehicle.

The victim was freed within 10 minutes and transported to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

All directions of Garden Grove Boulevard were closed between the 22 Freeway and Beach Boulevard.
