VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 31 (KNN) — A victim of a hit-and-run collision was dragged under a vehicle and left for dead on Van Nuys Boulevard Monday night.

The incident was reported around 11:42 p.m. at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Hatteras Street in Van Nuys where 911 callers said the victim was found.
Witnesses stated on camera that a sedan had hit the victim near the intersection of Calvert Street and Van Nuys, dragging them southbound to Burbank Boulevard and Van Nuys where they finally came to rest at Hatteras Street.
The victim was possibly riding their bicycle when they were struck by the hit-and-run motorist.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Van Nuys Division officers responded to the location along with Los Angeles Fire Department resources.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Witness Gabriel said the vehicle involved in the collision with the victim appeared to be a [Toyota] Camry or Corolla.
LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division will be handling the investigation.
