The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported sheared hydrant at approximately 5:06 p.m. on the 13400 block of Raymer Street in the North Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles within the San Fernando Valley.

The water from the hydrant was flowing approximately 30 feet into the air where it was interacting with high voltage lines in the area. Firefighters were able to open hydrants in the area to lower the water flow and reduce the column of water, removing it from the power lines.

Once it was safe to do so, firefighters were able to shut off the water flow to the sheared hydrant. No suspect vehicle description is available at this time.
