Lancaster, Los Angeles County, CA: A mortally wounded gunshot victim was located in a truck involved in a traffic collision on Saturday, July 23, in the city of Lancaster.

At approximately 11:28 a.m., Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies and firefighters from numerous Los Angeles County Fire Department stations responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Lancaster Boulevard and 20th Street West.
Upon arrival, they discovered a work truck had crashed with the driver suffering from gunshot wounds. California Highway Patrol who was at scene, started to administer CPR and then the victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau stated Saturday afternoon in a news release that the victim, an adult male, died at the hospital. No additional information was available from the department at this time.
Numerous bullet holes were observed throughout the truck and through the windows. Lancaster deputies requested deputies from neighboring cities to assist with their investigation.
