BEL AIR, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 3 (KNN) — Thieves gained entry into an influencer’s Bel Air home early Monday morning, leaving behind apparent designer handbags near a car and what looked like U.S. currency scattered on the roadway.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Los Angeles Division units responded to a reported residential burglary in progress in the 15000 block of Milldale Drive around 1 a.m.
While en route, officers were advised that two males dressed in gray jumpsuits were seen fleeing the scene in a BMW. An LAPD spokesperson told Key News Network that the suspects were described as two, possibly three Black males.
Authorities initially reported that U.S. currency, possibly counterfeit, was observed scattered in the street near the residence. Other sources have reported the money as a fake “prop” used by an influencer who is the homeowner, in a social media post. However, the LAPD spokesperson did not have any information regarding the currency, as the investigation is now in the hands of the detectives.
According to ABC7, the influencer and best-selling author has been identified as Amanda Frances, who confirmed in a statement provided to ABC7 that the money was fake.
A few apparent designer handbags taken from the home during the burglary were seen near, and one on top of a red sedan parked in the street.
No one was reportedly home at the time of the burglary, and authorities have not provided any further information about the property taken.
Additional information regarding the burglary will be released.
