Investigation Underway into Shooting Death of Victim Found in Street

Bakersfield, Kern County, CA: The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a victim found in a street early Saturday morning.

At approximately 12:53 a.m., Mar. 18, Bakersfield PD received a call regarding a shooting on Q and 34th Street in the city of Bakersfield where arriving officers located a gunshot victim deceased in the roadway.

Officers set up a perimeter marked by crime scene tape which blocked off the street to traffic for an unknown amount of time.
