
Los Angeles, CA: Detective Ryan Moreno with the Los Angeles Police Department South Traffic Division announced on Thursday a $50,000 reward for information on the suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run collision in the city of Inglewood in January, 2022.
The incident occurred on the northwest corner of Manchester and Van Ness Avenues on Thursday, January 27, at approximately 9:35 p.m., according to LAPD. A man, approximately 70 years old, was struck by a vehicle while walking across the street in a marked crosswalk.
According to police, the unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on Manchester Avenue and negotiated a left turn onto northbound Van Ness Avenue when it collided with the victim.
The suspect’s vehicle then fled northbound on Van Ness Avenue and failed to render aid to the victim and/or identify themselves. The victim died from his injuries, according to LAPD.
Police described the vehicle as a dark-colored, early model truck with tinted windows.
