When LAFD arrived at the scene, they located a solo vehicle that had left the roadway and tumbled down an embankment ejecting a 19-year-old female around 30 feet from the vehicle, reported LAFD. She is believed to be the driver. A 21-year-old male who was believed to be the front seat passenger, was found unresponsive and trapped inside the vehicle.

The female sustained multiple injuries from the crash and was quickly transported by LAFD firefighter/paramedics to a regional trauma center in critical condition, reported LAFD.

The man who was discovered unresponsive and badly trapped in the wreckage, sustained injuries beyond medical help. He was extricated from the wrecked vehicle by firefighters and was determined deceased at the scene at 11:17 p.m., according to LAFD.

Although fuel was discovered leaking from the badly damaged vehicle, LAFD said it was quickly contained.
