Man Barricades in Apartment After Reports of Stabbing, Crashed Vehicle Found

Pomona, Los Angeles County, CA: Just after 3:00 a.m., Friday, Mar. 25, Pomona Police Department officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department crews responded to the 1600 block of Berkeley Avenue in the city of Pomona for reports of a stabbing.

Officers had the apartment surrounded in the early morning hours and were trying to persuade the suspect to surrender. *Tony V* / KNN

Arriving officers located a vehicle that had crashed in the back alleyway. Officers learned a male adult was barricaded inside his apartment and they were not able to get in contact with the victim. Officers with Pomona PD, Montclair PD, and Claremont PD had the apartment surrounded in the early morning hours and were trying to persuade the suspect to surrender.

It is not clear at this time if this stabbing is related to the double stabbing around 2:30 a.m.
