Palmdale, Los Angeles County, CA: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies from Palmdale station were conducting a follow up on a domestic violence call from earlier Sunday evening when a deputy-involved shooting occurred, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The shooting occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. Mar. 13, 2022, on the 6900 block of Jack Rabbit Way in Palmdale, according to LASD.
LASD Information Bureau reported that the deputies, while on location, attempted to contact a male Hispanic adult seated inside a vehicle. The suspect attempted to flee the location and rammed two patrol vehicles several times. After ramming one of the deputy’s vehicle, a deputy-involved shooting occurred.
The deputies immediately began to render aid to the suspect, according to LASD. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived and continued to render aid, but ultimately the suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene, LASD reported.
LASD stated in the updated news release that it was later determined the suspect was not involved in the early domestic violence call.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the incident.
