Man Shot in Back Hospitalized After South Los Angeles Shooting

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 6 (KNN) — A man was wounded in a shooting in a residential neighborhood within South Los Angeles early Monday morning.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division patrol units responded to calls of shots fired around 12:13 a.m. with a man down in the 1100 block of West 45th Street in the Vermont Square neighborhood.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the male victim down in the backyard of the location with several gunshot wounds to his back.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

There are no further details at this time.
