Shooting in Bakersfield Leaves 1 Wounded; Investigation Underway

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 24 (KNN) — A shooting in the city of Bakersfield Saturday night left a male victim wounded and prompted an investigation by the Bakersfield Police Department.

The shooting was reported around 6:23 p.m. in the area of Oak and Palm Street. A gunshot victim ran into the Motel 6, prompting a call to the Bakersfield PD, according to updated information from a source.

One victim was transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. His condition was not immediately known. Bakersfield PD officers established a crime scene at the location.
