COVINA, Calif., Nov. 8 (KNN) — A woman was fatally shot while working at the One Stop Storage facility in Covina on Sunday evening, Nov. 2.

Key News Network video from the scene on the 1400 block of South Barranca Street shows Covina Police Department officers still investigating the incident early Monday morning, Nov. 3. Police secured the area by placing crime scene tape around the business.
Emergency responders were observed at the scene, leaving without transporting anyone. The victim’s status was initially unknown.
Police were questioning a person at the scene, possibly a witness; however, that remains unclear.
ABC7 News, Los Angeles, reported on Saturday, Nov. 8, that the victim was shot and killed while working at the storage facility. She has been identified as Patricia Villa, mother of two.
According to ABC7, “The accused gunman, who coworkers say was a customer at the storage facility, is in police custody.”
ABC7 also reported that the suspect has been identified as 66-year-old Juan Nava, who was a customer and tenant. He was apparently undergoing a mental health crisis, according to the owners of the facility.
A vigil was held on Saturday to remember Villa’s life, attended by hundreds of friends, family and coworkers.
