Motorcycle Collides With Forklift Leaving Rider Dead in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 5 (KNN) — A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision involving a forklift Monday evening in the city of Bakersfield.

California Highway Patrol officers responded to a call shortly after 5 p.m. for a motorcyclist versus forklift traffic collision on Ashe Road.

Upon arrival, CHP officers located the rider down on the roadway, deceased. North and southbound traffic was shut down and diverted around the scene of the crash.

The CHP is handling the investigation into the cause of the crash.
