Motorcycle Rear Ends Vehicle in Fatal 10 Freeway Traffic Collision

Ontario, San Bernardino County, CA: A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into the rear of a vehicle on the 10 Freeway Saturday, Sept. 17, at approximately 11:26 p.m.

California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Station and Ontario Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a motorcycle eastbound on the 10 Freeway at Fourth Street in the city of Ontario.

Once firefighters and CHP arrived on scene, they located a damaged vehicle and a motorcycle with the rider down blocking the slow lane.

Firefighters and paramedics pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was assessed by firefighters but not transported.

It is unknown at this time if speed or alcohol was a factor in the fatal crash.
