Motorcyclist Injured in Collision Involving Box Truck

Quartz Hill, Los Angeles County, CA: A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a collision involving a truck on Tuesday afternoon in the Quartz Hill community in the Antelope Valley area of Los Angeles County.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster unit received a call at approximately 12:31 p.m. on Mar. 29, regarding a motorcyclist down at Quartz Hill Road and Columbia Way.

Upon arrival, Sheriff’s deputies discovered a male down in the middle of the street. According to unconfirmed witness accounts, the rider was transported with severe injuries.

A white box truck was involved in the collision, but it is not known at this time if the truck made contact or cut the motorcycle off, causing the rider to crash.

Paramedics and firefighters from Station 84 responded to the scene and transported the motorcyclist to Antelope Valley Hospital.

As of 1:15 p.m., the scene was taped off and Sheriff’s deputies remained on location to process the scene. No further details are available at this time.
