Multi-Vehicle Collision on 14 Freeway Snarls Traffic, No Injuries

Newhall, Santa Clarita, CA: A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles slowed traffic on the 14 Freeway Thursday night, Sept. 22, in the Newhall community of the city of Santa Clarita.

Newhall California Highway Patrol, fire department and paramedics responded to a multi-vehicle traffic collision around 10:15 p.m. on the southbound 14 Freeway at Newhall Avenue. One vehicle went into the embankment about 200 feet down coming to rest into the mountainside on the Newhall on-ramp.

CHP located four vehicles involved in the traffic collision. All parties were assessed by paramedics and no one was transported for injuries.

One vehicle was facing northbound on the freeway blacked out. A lot of fluid and debris were visible on all traffic lanes.

Some family members arrived at the scene of the collision and were observed hugging their loved ones.

CHP blocked three lanes of traffic while they finished their investigation and all vehicles were towed away.
