One Person Shot in Santa Clarita, Suspect Outstanding

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Mar. 17 (KNN) — At least one person was shot and rushed to a trauma center following a shooting in a Santa Clarita apartment complex.

The shooting was reported around 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the 23700 block of Valle Del Oro in the Newhall neighborhood of Santa Clarita.

At least one person was reported to be shot at the scene.

The gunman remains outstanding, and the victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

One individual was observed in handcuffs and placed into the back seat of a sheriff’s patrol vehicle, but that person’s involvement in the shooting remains unclear at this time.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are investigating the shooting and sealed off the area as of 5:30 p.m.
