Women of childbearing age (including minors) in the United States have had the fundamental right to an abortion since the case was decided upon by SCOTUS in favor of “Jane Roe” on Jan. 22, 1973.

Protestors gathered in the Downtown Los Angeles area and made their way onto the 110 Freeway around 6:45 p.m. to condemn the ruling by the Supreme Court.

The large crowd of approximately 500 people took over the freeway shutting it down, then exited and proceeded to march in the streets after the Los Angeles Police Department shut down the freeway ramps.
