NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (KNN) — A single burning palm tree ignited nearby trees and brush on a 170 Freeway on-ramp overnight in North Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a report of a single palm tree on fire shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday on the on-ramp to the northbound 170 Freeway from Sherman Way.
When crews arrived on scene, they found several palm trees ablaze including nearby brush.
The flames were extinguished in approximately 20 minutes.
The on-ramp remained closed until the LAFD wrapped up operations.
