Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Willowbrook

WILLOWBROOK, CA, Sept. 3 (KNN) — The fire department responded to a call of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision Sunday night in Willowbrook.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was dispatched around 9:13 p.m. to Compton Avenue and East Imperial Highway where they found the struck patient who was immediately declared deceased at the scene. The involved vehicle was located nearby with apparent front end damage from the collision.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes on Imperial Highway were closed for an unknown duration.

It was unclear if the driver was injured and transported to a hospital. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.
